And then we walked down. Another beautiful, ancient, glacial valley.

Coooeee! Franz went ahead and climbed an extra peak. In a happy coincidence, he reached the summit as we reached the saddle. Nothing more than a white pixel here, but we could hear him yell.

Such a surreal place, with this waterfall just dropping off the edge of the valley opposite, the braided, blue glacial river, the incredible rocky mountain tops… amazing.

We’d climbed a fair way, but still had a good way to go. The valley was just amazing – destination on the left side, opposite the top of the waterfall.

The first part of our overnight hike. We started at Gries, somewhere right down the bottom of that valley.

Descending into Sölden on the gondola, noticed this insane MTB track. Bridges being repaired, so out of action at the time.
