Moorabool Reservoir map

Moorabool is a picturesque lake with good fishing opportunities, easily accessed by walking the forestry tracks that follow the shoreline around most of the lake. Where you fish will largely depend on weather conditions, but the south, and east shores of the lake are the most popular, so you might venture further if you prefer your own company.

Trees come right to the shore in most areas, so when the lake is full it can be challenging to get a cast away. Visit the Central Highlands Water website for current storage levels.

Wurdi Buloc Reservoir map

Promising water on the southern shore where fish are often seen out wide. Good fishing can be had along the wall.

Fishing in most other areas is prohibited, but never(?) enforced.

Nymph under indicator seems to account for most fish, with a streamer/minnow a good second choice.
